A 1st Class degree from Leeds Metropolitan University in 1983.

Professional Qualifications and Experience

Member of the  Institute of Information Scientists (1989),  the Society of Freelance Editors and Proofreaders (1991),  and an Associate of the Library Association (1983).  I admit it - I'm a librarian - but not the stereotype prim and stuffy sort!

Jobs

I have been privileged to have worked with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) from 1983 to May 2000.  My last job with HSE was Internet and Intranet Services Manager.

Before I moved to a full time post, I had the opportunity to pursue various freelance projects including research, consultancy, editorial work,  and training for publishers, consultants, and other organisations, mainly  in the areas of occupational health and safety.  I will be building on this framework to develop Infomasters Associates. I am also Consultant Editor of  the Food Safety Plus database (SilverPlatter/The Stationery Office in association with MAFF).
